St. Timothy's Episcopal Church appoints Fr. Brendan Kimbrough as Rector
Lake Jackson, Texas - The Vestry of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, has unanimously approved the appointment of the Reverend Brendan Kimbrough as Rector of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Lake Jackson. Fr. Kimbrough currently serves as Associate Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in McKinney, Texas.
Fr. Kimbrough says of his new family at St. Timothy's, "I am very excited and humbled to have been called as your next Rector. As the Kimbrough family journeyed through this discernment process - so ably led by your Search Committee Chair, Marianne Essington, and Sr. Warden,
Kim Lehnhoff
- we were repeatedly impressed by the energy, commitment and clarity of vision of St. Timothy's as a wonderful testament to the work of God in this place over the last 60 years. It is an enormous privilege to serve here and I am ready to start working on the foundation that has already been built before I arrived. Lord, bless our work in the season ahead of us!"
Fr. Kimbrough will begin his ministry at St. Timothy's in June. He has been ordained for seven years, having previously served as Vicar of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Wylie, Texas, a church he planted in the Diocese of Dallas, and as Curate of St. James Episcopal Church in Dallas. Before he was ordained Fr. Kimbrough worked in Dallas in marketing and public relations for Texas Instruments, Inc. as well as for two advertising agencies. He has been married for eighteen years to his wife, Stephanie, and they have one daughter, Hannah, who is ten years old.
