Dear PACCC Community,

It is with great pleasure that I announce PACCC has hired a new Executive Director after a thorough and fruitful search. Please join me in welcoming Lee Pfab to the PACCC family. For many of you, Lee’s name may be familiar! Lee served as the Executive Director for the Palo Alto YMCA for the past eight years. She comes to PACCC with a vast array of experience leading a non-profit agency. Lee has a strong background in community partnerships and collaborations. She looks for innovative ways to address community problems and was honored twice by the Association of YMCA Professionals for Outstanding Professional Achievement in Program Development.

Lee has been actively involved in the community, including a leadership role in the Healthy City, Healthy Community Collaborative, membership in the Palo Alto Project Safety Net Collaborative, a Stanford Children’s Community Benefits Council member, and a Palo Alto Kiwanis member.

Lee is excited to begin her new journey at PACCC and shares this message to the PACCC community:

As a previous partner organization leader, I heard about the many positive impacts PACCC has made in the community and within the staff. I know the organization has had to make significant pivots over the last year. PACCC stepped up to each and every challenge, providing safe environments and adjusting curriculum to meet the ever changing needs of children and families.

I am a dedicated community leader with over 30 years of non-profit experience. During my career, I have grown from a Program Leader to an Executive Director.
My approach is to avoid being stuck in a box and I am not afraid to explore innovative ways to best serve the community. I always try to consider which partners could collaborate to scale impact and look forward to working with you in the future.

As PACCC continues to respond to the needs of children and families during this unprecedented time, we will remain steadfastly focused on continuing the exceptional care and education provided for over 45 years in the Palo Alto community.

PACCC will provide a continued focus on safety, adhering to county and state guidance during the pandemic; including small, stable cohorts and daily health checks. At the same time, our children need the opportunity to build relationships with their peers, run and play outside and revel in the joy of creative exploration and FUN! We are planning an exciting summer experience for our school-age children.

Our infant-toddler and preschool programs continue to run year-round and provide the excellent care and education you expect from PACCC programs, with an emphasis on social-emotional development and an engaging learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each child.

Looking ahead to the near future and the hopeful outlook that the community will be able to lift restrictions as we reach “herd immunity,” PACCC is prepared to expand capacity and open up enrollment quickly in the coming months to serve the child care and education needs of the community at all age levels. PACCC will also continue to be a community partner focused on thriving children, valued educators and supported families.

Let’s get connected. Please add me to your LinkedIn connections so we can expand our networks and support one another as we all shift to the hopeful vision of serving the community in new and creative ways. You can also reach me by email at

We are thrilled to welcome Lee as PACCC’s new Executive Director and we look forward to the skilled leadership she will bring to PACCC and the Palo Alto Community.
