Jenna Parker
St. Christopher's Youth Leader
Dear St. Christopher's Youth and Parents,

I’m very pleased to announce the appointment of Jenna Parker as Youth Leader for St. Christopher’s. Jenna served most recently as Director of Children and Family Ministries at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church in Marietta, Georgia where she was responsible for creating and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for children and their families. She holds the Certificate in Youth and Children’s Ministry from Forma, the Network for Christian Formation for the Episcopal Church. She also holds the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 Certification. Jenna recently moved to Indianapolis with her husband, an aeronautical engineer for Rolls-Royce.

A native of Iowa and a cradle Episcopalian, Jenna received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. At the age of 19 (!), she served as a Deputy to General Convention from the Diocese of Iowa and was active for several years as a member of the Diocese of Iowa Youth Development Team, where she led a delegation of youth to the 2015 General Convention and also served as an Adult Coordinator for the diocese’s “Happening” events for youth.

Jenna will begin her work in early May. I have offered her the position through May 31, 2019.

Not long after she begins at St. Christopher’s, we’ll schedule a “meet and greet” for you all to get to know Jenna better.

I’m very pleased to have such a talented and committed young woman join the staff and look forward to all the ways she will help strengthen our Youth Ministry. I will continue to be involved with St. Christopher's Youth as I transition my "Interim Youth Leader" responsibilities to Jenna and, of course, thereafter. But I know you will quickly come to appreciate what a great fit Jenna is for youth ministry!

My thanks to the members of the Youth Design Team: Kate Bender, Aaron Seitz, Alison Tierney, and Lynn Ducat, and to Jennifer Lawson, who has been involved in the search for a Youth Leader for the last year!

Faithfully yours,

Father Stephen
