Announcing:
A Campaign for WRFI
|
|
We've raised $97,000 towards
our Phase One goal of $100,000!

A message from WRFI's executive director, Matt Baker-White:
As WRFI recovers from the COVID pandemic, our financial outlook has had highs and lows. From the largest field season on record in 2021, to two low-enrollment years in 2022 and 2023, we have carried forward our mission of fostering the next generation of leaders and environmental stewards through academic field courses. During these challenging financial times, we realized that WRFI needs to embark on an ambitious fundraising campaign to secure the future of the organization and the next 30 years of field-based academic programs.
This campaign has taken the form of a three-phase campaign, with a goal of raising over half a million dollars for WRFI over the next five years.
-
Phase One was to raise $100,000 by August 31st, to provide vital bridge funding for the 2024 field season. I am thrilled to let you know that through generous gifts and pledges, we have raised $97,000 to date! You can help us close out Phase One today!
- We are ready to jump into Phase Two of this campaign, with another ambitious goal of raising $200,000 more by the end of 2023.
- In Phase Three, we'll focus on securing pledges totaling $50,000 per year from donors, alumni, parents, and supporters for the next five years; we'll also be celebrating WRFI's 30th year of field courses during this phase!
We are overwhelmed with the love and support our community has shown for WRFI; thank you so much to all of our donors! We are counting on you to help us close out Phase One before the end of August with gifts totaling $3,000.

As this campaign moves forward, we will continue to update the WRFI community on our progress. If you have any questions or want to help us celebrate the next 30 years of field education at WRFI, please reach out to matt@wrfi.net.
