Winter 2022-23
On Friday, Dec. 2, Bath Community Fund awarded 20 grants totaling $50,000 to nonprofit organizations serving the residents of Bath Township. This brings the fund's cumulative grantmaking total to more than $200,000 since it began awarding grants in 2016.

This is the second year in a row that the fund is distributing $50,000 to nonprofits dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Bath community. This was made possible in part by an anonymous donor who generously gifted $13,000 to increase the fund’s grantmaking to the $50,000 level.
Grant Recipient Spotlight
Revere Community C.A.R.E. received a $1,300 grant to support a district-wide drug, tobacco and alcohol prevention program.

A previous program called "Love Doesn't Shove" was held at Revere High School, where keynote speaker Gabriella Kreuz (pictured above) spoke to students about dating and domestic violence.

Bonnie Simonelli, an at-risk student coordinator at Revere Local Schools, said, "This funding will allow us to continue serving the Bath community and students with not only drug and alcohol prevention programs, but also social and emotional supports that are needed now more than ever."
The Heart of Revere, a new nonprofit in the Bath community, received a $4,000 grant to provide clothing, shoes, toiletries and school supplies for students and families in the Revere school district.

“The funding will help with the cost of supplying our Heart Box care packages, boxes, tissue paper and personalized notes,” explained The Heart of Revere founder Torina White. “It will also help us provide newly packaged undergarments, household products, and holiday meals.”

Heart Boxes, like the one pictured above, include clothing and accessories so the recipient can build a full outfit. Volunteers sort clothing and fill boxes based on questionnaires completed by the recipient.
As the holidays approach, a gift to Bath Community Fund is the perfect way to honor a friend, family member or colleague while making a lasting difference in the community. Each person you honor will receive a card informing them of your gift.

Donor Spotlight: Shelley and David Koch
"As Bath residents for over 30 years, it is our pleasure to support the Bath Community Fund. Bath has been a special place to raise our children, both of whom graduated from the Revere School District. Although they now live in other states, they still call Bath “home.” One of our favorite outdoor activities is visiting the Bath Nature Preserve. Our son's favorite summer job was when he worked for the Bath Parks and helped to clear the trails that we all enjoy!

We are impressed with BCF’s support of the entire Bath community, including a variety of nonprofit organizations. It is up to all of us to continue to support our local nonprofits so that our community will continue to be a wonderful place to live and raise our families."
