Announcing our Top Three!
The judges have rendered their decision. The audience has.selected its favorites. We received over 1500 online votes from across the globe for The Soloist Semi-Finalists. Here are our Top Three contestants (in alphabetical order):
 
 Taylin Im, Piano
 Pre-Med student, Brown University
 Providence, RI
  

At age 19, Taylin, our youngest contestant, grew up in Guam and is founder of San Diego Music Ministry, an organization which raises money for Haiti earthquake victims. Watch Taylin's performance video.

    

 Luke Scott, Baritone
 
Elementary School Music Teacher
  Hartford, CT
  
While interested in many genres of music, Luke, 34, thoroughly enjoys opera and tries to take risks and "push himself past his comfort zone" with his musical selections and performances. Watch Luke's performance video.


   

 Monika Woods, Clarinet
  Web Designer/Media Producer
  Brewster, MA
 

Born in Romania, Monika, 32, connected with Carl Maria von Webber's Concertino for Clarinet and Piano. "I love the piece because Webber goes for it musically, no holds barred, and doesn't worry about going over the top." Watch Monika's performance video. 

  
Our top three performers will advance to the Soloist Finals for the ultimate prize: the rare opportunity to perform with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra at the final Classics concert of the season in May. They'll also win substantial cash prizes: $3,500, $2,000 and $1,000.
