Our new Priest-in-Charge:
The Rev. Andrew Kryzak
We are delighted to announce that the Rev. Andrew Astwood Kryzak has accepted the vestry’s recommendation and the bishop’s appointment as priest-in-charge of St. John’s Church!

Andrew comes to us from Washington, D.C., where he serves as the associate rector of Christ Church, Georgetown, but he is no stranger to Fairfield County. From 2016 until 2020, he served Christ Church in Greenwich successively as seminarian, curate, and finally as associate rector for worship, outreach, and membership. He brings to St. John’s nearly 20 years of professional work in the Episcopal Church, and he is thrilled to put all of that experience into the Lord’s service at St. John’s.

Andrew trained for the ministry at Yale Divinity School, earning the Master of Divinity and a diploma in Anglican studies from Berkeley Divinity School. A lifelong Episcopalian, he grew up in Dutchess County, New York, and was educated at Hotchkiss, Duke, and Columbia. Prior to divinity school, he worked for the New-York Historical Society and for the law firm of Davis, Polk & Wardwell.

He and his wife, Hannah Peckham, are delighted to be returning to Connecticut and are excited to join the people of St. John’s. Andrew will be starting officially as priest-in-charge on March 1, and his first services in the parish will be on Ash Wednesday.

A selection of Andrew’s preaching may be found on his website, andrewkryzak.com.
