Buy Your Tickets: Envision Utah's 2018 Common Good Awards
We hope you'll join us for this year's Common Good Awards. Our event will focus in on Utah County and its future as a hotbed for growth as it adds more than one million residents over the coming years. We'll be joined by Utah Valley University's new president, Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez.
Following a rich and storied career in business, philanthropy, and academia, Dr. Tuminez became the seventh president of Utah Valley University in 2018. She is the first woman to serve full-time as UVU president. Raised in a small village in the Philippines, Dr. Tuminez rose to become a world leader in the fields of technology and political science, most recently serving as an executive at Microsoft.

Dr. Tuminez will share her thoughts on the critical role education plays in manifesting the vision of a community and her commitment to strengthening the partnerships between Utah Valley University and the economic, civic, and social institutions of Utah County. Envision Utah will also be launching its Utah County Vision , an effort that will bring together the community to create a vision for the area.

Utah Policy – Guest Opinion
Utah's Inland Port can become the best in the west—if we build it right. It will take intense collaboration and open dialogue to ensure the port is built with clean, low-emission technologies that will reduce the large potential impacts on our airshed and energy grid.
