In a story that appeared in the “Insurance Journal” on March 6, the authors outline what might be ahead for employers regarding gender pay data by perhaps as soon as May 31st. “Companies with more than 100 employees will have to report to the U.S. government data about how much workers are paid broken down by sex, race and ethnicity, possibly as soon as this spring, according to a new court ruling...

Legislative Priority

This week in Dover saw the announcement of a 19 bill criminal justice reform package highlighted at a press conference Thursday. While the vast majority of these bills have yet to be introduced, we know several are designed to help those with arrests or records navigate an easier path to employment. One bill involves mandatory expungements for single misdemeanor offenses and for arrests with no conviction if no further offense takes place for 5 years.

Association of Chambers Agenda to Help Business

This fall, Delaware’s 14 chambers of commerce got together to brainstorm a unified legislative and regulatory agenda that would benefit businesses of all sizes across the state. From maintaining family friendly beaches, to investing in broadband infrastructure in Kent and Sussex counties, to paving the way for competitive association health plans, this list of priorities runs the gamut of issues, and is supported by industry groups throughout Delaware.
