About the AO Ball The AO Winter Ball was first held in 2009 as a local event by AO Boston. Ten more iterations followed, making it the soccer social event of the year for Boston and beyond. With the launch of AO Impact in 2020, it was decided to elevate the event to an annual, national fundraiser gala.

As part of that decision, the host city was to be determined by the AO chapter that could raise the most funds in the preceding calendar year. In a fitting turn of events, AO Boston was able to do just that and will play host to the first NATIONAL AO Ball. (Donate today and your chapter could host the 2022 ball!) All proceeds from the Ball will go back into funding even more AO Impact projects across the country. The 2021 AO Ball will feature music and event production from DJ Brian Smith and his EventSmith Boston team, as well as dancing, raffles, a photo booth, food, giveaways, and some special surprises!
