Awardees Will Be Inducted into the Lobo Hall of Fame at the

Annual Lobo Legends Celebration

Monterey Peninsula College and the MPC Foundation are proud to announce the following outstanding individuals have been selected to receive the 2027 Lobo Legends Awards:

• Distinguished Alumnus: Congressman Jimmy Panetta

• Outstanding Alumni Athletes: Gina Carnazzo-Cutrufelli and Chrissy Bifano

• Distinguished Retiree: Elliot Ruchowitz-Roberts

• Rising Star: Rebecca Shiraev

Each of the awardees have made significant contributions to MPC and our local community, and represent the spirit, dedication, and excellence of the Lobo Hall of Fame. Awardees will be celebrated at the Lobo Legends Celebration event in March, 2027. Event details will be announced soon.

Happy Hour with MPC's Lobo Hall of Famers

The MPC Foundation was delighted to welcome our Lobo Hall of Famers back to campus for a special Lobo Hall of Fame Happy Hour last week!

This special gathering gave Hall of Fame inductees an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, hear from MPC’s new Dean of Athletics Karen Yoder, and be among the first to learn the names of the upcoming 2027 Class of Inductees.

We enjoyed great conversations, wonderful memories, and delicious appetizers prepared by MAFIA’S, a small business owned by a recent graduate of MPC’s Hospitality program.

Most importantly, the evening was a celebration of the people, achievements, and connections that continue to make the Lobo community so special. Thank you to all of our Hall of Famers who joined us and continue to celebrate and strengthen the legacy of MPC.
