On behalf of the Session, I am happy to share that Russell Jonas III will join our staff as Interim Pastor/Head of Staff as of April 3, 2018. His first opportunity to preach will be Sunday, April 8th. Below is a brief bio provided by Rev. Jonas to begin his introduction to NorthPark Presbyterian Church.
Born in Houston, Russell holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree from Columbia Seminary, and a certificate in nonprofit management from the Dallas Center for Nonprofit Management.
Russell’s pastoral experience includes hospital chaplaincy, senior staff positions with small to very large churches, and serving as Sudan area director for a Christian nonprofit mission group serving South Sudan.
Russell and his wife, Kathy, have one son who lives in New York with their daughter-in-law and grandson. His hobbies include photography, watching good movies, and traveling to new places.
