The first ever Pistachio Week celebrated the pistachio harvest with a competition between chefs from three popular Fresno restaurants - the Elbow Room Bar & Grill, Pismo's Coastal Grill, and Riley's Brew Pub. The chefs competed for the title of "Best Pistachio Recipes" in cocktail, appetizer, entrée and dessert categories. The winners were chosen by a panel of pistachio growers.
