An Investment in Change

Dear partners and stakeholders,

Now is a time of change, and we are writing to update you on the status of our Local Employment Planning Council Project, which has come to an end.

As Literacy Link South Central and the Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board retool our operations, we are celebrating the work of our staff and partners in creating countless labour market research projects, resources for the employment sector, and tools to help serve the skills, education and employment needs of our workforce both today, and in the future.

Though this pilot has come to an end, we have already witnessed the continued impact of this investment out in the community and look forward to publishing a resource library with past projects, so they may continue to benefit the community as workforce issues evolve. We have also released our final projects for the completed fiscal year, a summary of research on the use and impact of labour market information , and an issue of Growing your Workforce , our e-magazine.

In the coming months, we will be transforming our meeting groups and projects to adapt to our new structure as the Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board returns to serving the community under a Local Board contract. We hope you’ll continue to support us as a community partner in our efforts to respond to the labour market during and after the effects of current world events.

Annonce du conseil d’administration: Fermeture du projet pilote CLPE
Chers partenaires et parties prenantes,

C’est maintenant une période de changements et nous vous écrivons pour vous informer de la situation de notre projet de Conseil local de planification de l’emploi, qui a pris fin.

Alors que Literacy Link South Central et la Commission de planification et de développement de la main d’œuvre d’Elgin Middlesex et Oxford réorganisons nos opérations, nous voulons souligner le travail de notre personnel et de nos partenaires pour la création d’innombrables projets d’études sur le marché du travail, de ressources pour l’emploi et d’outils pour répondre aux besoins de notre main-d’œuvre en compétences, en éducation et en matière d’emploi, tant maintenant que pour l’avenir.

Bien que ce projet pilote ait pris fin, nous avons déjà constaté l’impact continuel de cet investissement dans la communauté et nous rendrons public incessamment un répertoire de ressources de nos projets passés, afin qu’ils puissent continuer à profiter à la communauté selon l’évolution des besoins de main-d’œuvre. Nous avons également rendus publics les projets que nous avons complétés pour le présent exercice financier, de même qu’un sommaire de la recherche sur l’utilisation et l’impact de l’information sur le marché du travail, de même qu’un numéro de notre revue en ligne «  Growing Your Workforce .  

Au cours des prochains mois, nous transformerons nos réunions et nos projets afin de nous adapter à notre nouvelle structure alors que la Commission de Planification et de Développement de la main d’œuvre d’Elgin Middlesex et Oxford servira à nouveau la communauté en vertu d’un contrat à titre de commission de planification locale. Nous espérons que vous continuerez à soutenir nos efforts, en tant que partenaire communautaire, pour répondre aux besoins du marché du travail, pendant et après les effets des événements mondiaux actuels.
