Meet the New Director for Evangelical Mission
for the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin
Reverend Erin Nelson

The Northwest Synod of Wisconsin is excited to announce that Reverend Erin Nelson has been called to serve as our new Director for Evangelical Mission. We are excited to have Erin on our team and believe that she will be a valuable asset to our Synod.

Pastor Nelson will begin her new role in the synod on September 10th.

Pastor Erin Nelson grew up in Minneapolis, Mn and River Falls, WI with her parents and two sisters. She went to college at Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, MN where she majored in religion and minored in studio art and attended seminary at Luther in St. Paul. During her career, Pastor Erin has served two congregations in the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin; St. John’s in Spring Valley and Mt. Zion in Hudson. Her husband, Mitch, works at 3M and they have a daughter named Rosemary and a son named Peter. Pastor Erin also has a very large dog named Sally. For fun, Pastor Erin loves reading, cooking, throwing pottery, playing the guitar, knitting and being active. She is incredibly excited to serve the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin in this new role!
