Welcome, The Rev. Carrie Duncan!

A Bio about The Rev. Carrie

The Rev. Carrie Duncan, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, found her love of the Episcopal Church in her college years. During that time, she grew in faith serving on staff at Camp Bratton-Green and leading youth groups in several parishes in the Diocese. You may remember Carrie from a brief period in the early nineties when she and Nat (now her husband) worked with the EYC at Trinity. Prior to seminary, Carrie served as Parish Administrator for thirteen years at Chapel of the Cross in Madison. She received a Master of Divinity from the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas in May 2017. After graduation, Carrie began her ordained ministry as Delta Missioner for the Diocese of Mississippi and served as Priest-in-Charge for St. John’s in Leland, Church of the Redeemer in Greenville, and St. Paul’s in Hollandale. In August 2020, she was called to be the Interim Rector of Church of the Nativity in Greenwood. She currently serves the Diocese as the Secretary of the Standing Committee. Carrie lives in Leland with Nat and their twin 14 year old sons, August and Grant. She enjoys reading, crafting, and writing Haiku poems inspired by her drives through the Mississippi Delta.
