The Tompkins Chamber is proud to bring you a L.E.A.R.N. seminar, "Buying and Selling Businesses: Financing and business planning considerations", sponsored by M&T Bank. Tuesday April 29th,12:00 pm-3:30 pm, in the Tompkins County Public Library's BorgWarner Room.

An overview will be presented by M&T Bank, followed by a panel discussion with representatives from: M&T Bank, Ithaca Area Economic Development (IAED), Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Small Business Administration (SBA), Law Office TBD, CPA Office TBD.

There will be time for Q&A as well as open networking. 

Community Conversations: Lansing

Join your neighbors in Lansing for hyper-local networking, conversation, and advocacy at Lansing Community Library.

Community Conversations serve as a forum for the Tompkins Chamber and Visit Ithaca to engage leaders of businesses and organizations in different localities within Tompkins County and allow us to better understand and support the unique needs of each community. All business owners, non-profit leaders, and government officials are invited to attend.

Registration is requested but the event is free and open to all; you do not need to be a Chamber member to participate.

Join us for an immersive and hands-on workshop where a local attorney will walk you through the steps to create an LLC in real time. Workshop attendees can expect to file for their LLC during this workshop, and walk away with all of the information needed to finish the formation process and maintain their LLC.

Community Foundation 2025 Grant Cycle

We are thrilled to announce our 2025 grant cycle, Empowering Resilient Communities to Thrive. This theme reflects our commitment to uplifting and supporting initiatives that foster recovery, growth, and strength within our communities. This will be the only general grant cycle for 2025.

Grant Range: $500-$12,000

United Way of TC Extends Campaign to Meet Basic Needs

Given the current reality for human needs in combination with changes in funding from both federal and state sources, United Way of Tompkins County has announced an extension of its annual campaign specifically to meet human needs in the areas of food security, children & youth success, health including mental health, and housing. The “Meet the Need” campaign extension’s goal is to raise $200,000 by April 30. Please see the full press release for ways to contribute.

I LOVE NY Virtual Tourism Job Fair

I LOVE NY presents its Tourism Industry Virtual Job Fair for Upstate NY on Wednesday May 7th, 11:00am-2:00pm. Your tourism business is welcome to register for a FREE virtual booth, post job openings (full-time, part-time, and seasonal), and meet with job seekers. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 30th.
