LVF Board President Announced as Invest In Others Community Service Award Finalist
Lisa and her son Brian at LVF in Doylestown
Lisa Policare, LVF Board President and Partner of Penn Wealth Planning in New Hope, has been announced as one of three national finalists for the Community Service Award as part of the 14th Annual Invest in Others Awards. Lisa is being honored for her work with Lenape Valley Foundation, which will receive a $10,000 donation from the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation. If Policare wins her category, the donation will increase to $40,000.

The Invest in Others Awards program recognizes the charitable work of financial advisors in communities across the country and around the world. Advisors are nominated for actively giving back to nonprofits to improve their communities and make a difference in the lives of others. Finalists are selected based on their leadership, dedication, contribution, inspiration, and impact on a nonprofit and the community it serves. There are five categories of awards: Catalyst, Community Service, Global Impact, Volunteer of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.

Lisa first became involved with Lenape Valley Foundation when her son, Brian, received services for intellectual disabilities. She learned first-hand how the organization’s programming and its host of caring staff members can make a positive difference in a person’s life. As a volunteer and active Lenape Valley Foundation Board Member, Lisa played an invaluable role in co-chairing a capital campaign to build a residential crisis center known as “The Lodge” and raised more than $1.75 million in funding. The Lodge provides an innovative approach to serving those experiencing an acute behavioral health crisis. Guests have the opportunity to recover in a home-like atmosphere with 24/7 support, which leads to better health outcomes.

The Invest in Others Awards will be presented digitally this year over the course of five days, from Monday, September 21 to Friday, September 25. The video awards presentation for the Community Service Award will be unveiled Tuesday, September 22 at 4:45pm ET on investinothers.org.
