Annual Letter from
the President of
The Council for Homeopathic Certification
Thursday, December 29, 2022
Dear CHC Community,
I am pleased to write this year’s annual letter to report our achievements for 2022 and throw some light on the future goals of the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC).

2022 has allowed me to work with our dedicated Board of Directors and supportive leaders, volunteers, donors, and community. It has been a gratifying year! A hearty THANK YOU to everyone who contributed their time and energy to the CHC.

Our organization is strategically evolving to greater excellence in certifying individuals to validate their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the homeopathic profession.

The CHC now includes new board Directors who have added vibrant energy to the CHC board. As new leadership on the CHC board, we welcome Gauravi Hiware, Beth Goodwin, Astaire Roorda, and Jenny Marks. They all are equally motivated, proactive, and forward-looking to help with our Mission.

We congratulate the 22 new CCH certificants who were certified in 2022. The entire community acknowledges your efforts! The passing rate for our exam this year was 61%

We also want to extend special thanks to CCH certificants who continuously uphold the professional homeopathy vision by recertifying their CCH credential annually.

Thank you to those individuals and community members who generously donated over $1340 this year. The CHC continues to operate within budget and without debt! There is still time to donate, and here is the link if you would like to do so.
As we close 2022, it's time to celebrate our achievements for the year, and we look forward to our initiatives for 2023.
2022 ACHIEVEMENTS
CHC Achievements in 2022
  1. NCCA Accreditation: We achieved the milestone of re-accrediting the CCH credential from the National Commission for Certifying Agency (NCCA) for the next five years.
  2. Pilot Exam: We were successful in piloting a new version of the exam in 2022. As we promised, our focus is on making every exam rigorous and updating our tests regularly to ensure that only skilled and competent homeopaths are made available to the public.
  3. Collaborating with the Community: We continue collaborating with others in the homeopathic community and work towards integrating Homeopathy into the greater healthcare system. We met monthly with members from other homeopathic organizations to stay abreast of current events happening in homeopathy and work towards the common goals of advancement of the homeopathic profession.
  4. Office Support: Michelle pleasantly provided excellent support to anyone contacting the office via email or calls. Recertification assistance via zoom offered one on one support. The queries were resolved within two business days on average.
  5. JAHC Conference: Tara Framer, Assistant Secretary, was kind enough to attend the conference and the CHC at our booth. It was wonderful to see everyone in-person.
  6. The CHC was honored to have been invited to and taken part in a presentation at the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (ICE) Conference for the very first time. The topic was “Smaller Organization Accreditation-Path to Success.” Thank you once again to Tara for attending in my absence.
  7. Increased Communication: We aimed to keep you informed and aware of changes happening at the CHC and within the homeopathic and integrative health communities. We extended our reach on social media and continued sending out Communiques. We hosted the CHC HAPPY HOUR quarterly. We want to Thank Vijay and Daxa Vaishnav, Karen Allen, Samantha Conboy, and Ann McKay for being our guests during the 2022 happy hours.
2023 STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
List of 2023 strategic initiatives
  1. Infrastructure Enhancement: Some internal efforts will include enhancing and strengthening our leadership skills at the committee level, financial planning for the future, and evaluating and improving our day-to-day processes. We also plan to upgrade the technologies we use for our marketing, certification, and re-certification processes.
  2. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: The CHC recognizes the value of educating professionals on matters of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as they affect professional practice and the organization's responsibility to the public. A task force will be formed to create an impactful DE&I strategy.
  3. Globalization: The Globalization Committee will explore pathways and conduct a feasibility study to extend certification in different countries. We are grateful to Dr. Farokh Master for joining our team as an Advisor to CHC’s globalization process.
  4. The Reimbursement Task Force: In many countries, homeopathic consultations are covered by private insurance companies, and our team will work to bring this privilege to our credential holders. Our credential holders are committed to providing excellent client care as part of the National Healthcare workforce.

We welcome your participation in our goals and endeavors. We need your help! When you are ready and see yourself having the passion for working towards any of our dedicated goals for the year, we would love to hear from you.
On behalf of the CHC Board of Directors, I wish you a healthy and happy holiday season and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
Sincerely,

Sheetal Tiwari, BHMS, CCH
