NYS Mandated Sexual Harassment Training Course

We'll gather for a facilitated conversation with women business and nonprofit leaders from throughout Tompkins County. Important conversations, real-time brainstorming, and a supportive environment are the hallmarks of our regular Women in Business Roundtable gatherings.
Healthy Workforce Network
On-the-Job Training Grant

The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new iteration of its On-the-Job Training Grant through a United States Department of Labor funding award to the Healthy Workforce Network - a local network of organizations collaborating to support people in recovery and their employers.

This funding award differs from past OJT grant programs in that it is intended to support people in recovery receiving educational and training supports, new job opportunities, and maintaining a recovery friendly workforce and employer base in Tompkins County. All employers interested in being considered for this program must take our survey and be willing to comply with additional program requirements.

Cayuga Health System, our regional leader in COVID-19 diagnostic testing, has developed a reduced pricing option for participating employers who are requiring or supporting surveillance testing for their workforce.

Additional e-screening for your workforce is available:

Ribbon Cutting & Celebration with Serendipity
Friday, August 28 | 3:30 p.m.

Serendipity Catering is proud to announce the opening of their new outdoor restaurant and bar location, Serendipity’s Backlot, at 950 Danby Rd.

Serendipity will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, in conjunction with the Tompkins Chamber, on Friday, August 28th at 3:30 p.m. Social distancing and mask protocols, as well as gathering size limits will be maintained. RSVP's are required to attend.
The Cherry Arts Announces 2020-2021 Season

Making use of the great outdoors and their signature mix of low and high tech, the Cherry will create four productions that protect the health and safety of the community and artists, without compromising exceptional artistic quality.

SBA Updates to PPP

The Small Business Administration & Treasury have recently released additional guidance on PPP loans, as well as reports regarding the impact of the program.

Chambers of Commerce, DMOs, and Trade Associations Need Your Support so we Have Access to PPP

Help us advocate that Chambers, Destination Marketing Organizations, and other Trade Associations should have the same access to the Paycheck Protection Program as all other nonprofit organizations. Proposals have been created many times in both the House and Senate - but ensuring a workable fix to this SBA program is critical as Congress negotiates the final details of their Phase 4 relief package.

New York Forward Loan Fund (NYFLF) is a new economic recovery loan program aimed at supporting New York State small businesses, nonprofits and small landlords as they reopen after the COVID-19 outbreak and NYS on PAUSE.
