Annual Meeting

Nominee Bios and Pictures

In preparation for our Annual Parish Meeting this Sunday at noon, the Nominating Committee (our outgoing vestry members – Phil Buck, Lee Gray, and Jenny Peer) is pleased to announce that we have the following full slate of nominees for consideration at the Annual Meeting:

  • 3 Vestry positions for full 3-year terms: Rusty Infinger, Ellen Mays, and Lendy Rhodes
  • 1 Diocesan Convention Delegate for 4-year term: Carl Headley

Thank you to all of the nominees for being willing to offer their names in service to Saint Andrew’s and the wider church for these roles. Please see bios and pictures below.

Ellen Mays

Vestry Nominee

I’m Ellen Mays and am happy to be nominated to serve on the Vestry again! I grew up in the Methodist Church, and found Saint Andrew’s after graduating from Furman. I have attended since 1998, and was confirmed here in 2000. I have celebrated many events here in the life of the church and in my own life, including Mary B’s baptism. But it is our people and the weekly worship that help me feel knit into the fabric of this beautiful place. I’ve served many roles over the years and currently read with the book club, work on the yard crew, coordinate Rebuild Upstate projects, and participate in ECW. I work for SC DPH as Greenville Health Department Manager. I enjoy reading, walking, sipping tea, and tending my house plants. My daughter is now a freshman at UNCSA.

Rusty Infinger

Vestry Nominee

A member of Saint Andrew’s since 2015, Rusty Infinger joined the parish transferring from Christ Church Greenville. During his time at Saint Andrew’s, he has served in a number of roles. Rusty served on Vestry where he held the position as clerk and also was Junior Warden for a 1 year term. Additionally, he was a member of the Finance Committee serving as chair and serving as pledge drive chair one year. For the past several years, Rusty has been the co-chair of the Mission & Outreach Committee working with a team to provide guidance of the Church’s resources to support our neighbors who need assistance. He has volunteered on Rebuild Upstate projects. Rusty regularly assists with the altar party primarily serving as a Torch Bearer.

Currently, Rusty holds the position of General Counsel for the South Carolina Bar, having also served in the past as the SC Bar President. In addition to his service at Saint Andrew’s, Rusty is a member of the Rotary Club of Greenville and serves as Secretary of their Board of Directors. He is also a board member of A Child’s Haven and Centre Stage Greenville.

This is an exciting time at Saint Andrew’s as we embark upon our next 125 years as we continue to be: Called to Worship, Sent to Witness, and Led to Welcome.

Lendy Rhodes

Vestry Nominee

I am Lendy Rhodes, and I was born and raised here in Greenville. I have been married to Laura for 41 years, and have two sons, Daniel and John. Our daughter in law, Brittany, has blessed us with two grandsons, Lenderman and Liam. I work for Prisma Health as an electronic technician. I’ve been a member of Saint Andrew’s for 6 years and have always found the people welcoming and loving. I look forward to serving the church on the Vestry.

Carl Headley

Diocesan Convention Delegate

Carl Headley joined Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church on November 24, 2019. He was introduced to Saint Andrew’s by Lee Gray. While occasionally helping in the kitchen with Feed Thy Neighbor, grounds care, torching, and ushering, he was introduced to the welcoming members of Saint Andrew’s. Saint Andrew’s has provided a spiritual footing for his personal faith and has provided meaningful rewarding opportunities to reach out to others in the Greenville community and beyond.

He was born and raised in Montgomery, AL. Teaching was his most rewarding career. He taught grades K-12 for 4 years and math methods in the College of Education at the University of Alabama for 4 years. The last 34 years before retiring, he was in educational publishing out of Boston, serving in consulting, sales, marketing and management. Carl has resided in SC since 1987, making the Upstate his home since 1991.
