Annual Meeting Recap

OCT Staff and Trustees hosted a packed house for our annual meeting this past week! At the meeting, OCT officially launched our "At Home with Nature" eco-restoration initiative (learn more here) and announced the Trust's latest land protection project: an opportunity to preserve a 4.5-acre property at 37 Eli Rogers Road (more information here). Members also had an opportunity to learn about several projects funded by OCT's educational grant at Orleans Elementary School and Nauset Regional Middle School. Thank you to all who attended and voted for our new slate of trustees!

Our guest speaker, Seth Wilkinson, Restoration Ecologist and President of Wilkinson Ecological Design, shared a wonderfully educational presentation about eco-restoration that can be done right at home. Learn how to restore local threatened species and ecosystems (including swapping non-native plants with natives that fill a similar ecological or aesthetic role): find the PDF of Seth's presentation here.
