Annual Memberships Available Wednesday, July 1

OLLI at SOU memberships for the 2026-27 academic year will be available starting Wednesday, July 1. Vist our Join/Renew webpage to purchase your membership online.

Our office support volunteers and staff will be on hand until Thursday this week to help any member who runs into issues logging in and/or renewing their annual membership. Call 541-552-6048 or email olli@sou.edu for assistance.

OLLI at SOU Membership Form Updates:

• Agree to the OLLI at SOU Code of Conduct when becoming a member. Agreement is required to participate.
• Opt-in to the One Credit Program. Qualifying members can opt-in to become "non-degree seeking" students at SOU and help the university receive critical funding.
• Request a printed namebadge and pick it up on your first day of class!

Join OLLI at SOU in the Ashland 4th of July Parade!

Show your OLLI at SOU pride and join us for the downhill 4th of July parade walk this Saturday! Important Parade Meetup Details:

• Please meet at SOU Parking Lot 36 (at the corner of Mountain Ave. and Henry St.) by 9:15 a.m.
• The temperature will be warm on Friday, so please plan accordingly by wearing head/face protection and sunscreen.
• The parade ends on Water Street. All marchers need to arrange their own transportation back to their car. Plan to walk the parade route back or get a ride from a buddy.

Save the Date: OLLI at SOU Open House

Save the date for the annual OLLI at SOU Open House on Wednesday, August 12, 1-4 p.m., in the Rogue River Room of the SOU Stevenson Union. The Open House is your chance to visit exhibits from SOU and community partners, preview upcoming OLLI at SOU fall offerings, enjoy free refreshments and enter to win valuable door prizes.

OLLI at SOU Spotlight: Celebrating Our 100+ Members

Staying curious and connected is at the heart of the OLLI at SOU experience. Meet two incredible OLLI at SOU members who embody the power of lifelong learning!

Carola Lacy (103 years old)

Carola joined OLLI at SOU for the first time this spring and enjoyed two courses: Still Inching Toward Intermediate Spanish and Playful Art 1. Carola is trilingual and speaks English, French and Spanish! She would love to connect with fellow spanish-speaking members who want to play Go Fish with a custom card deck she made herself.

Elspeth Walker (101 years old)

Elspeth has been an OLLI member since our program first started in 1993. Elspeth has taken a wide variety of courses since then, most recently enjoying Adventures in Travel, How Sondheim Can Change Your Life and See Like a Geologist: The Landscape Around You. She is a strong advocate for more online courses.

Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti (OLLI at University of Reno Nevada)

OLLI at SOU members are invited to register for Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti, taught by SOU professor emerita of music and longtime OLLI instructor Peg Evans. This course is offered via Zoom on Thursdays, July 9, 16, 23, and 30, at noon PDT. The course will examine Bach’s life and background, characteristics of the Baroque period, and look at and listen to the six Brandenburg Concertos.
