Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
This is a key week: Palm Sunday; the Passover Lamb seder giving us a new and better Covenant and His Way of remembering always His Body and Blood through communion; the suffering and love and obedience to the Father of the Messiah; the horrific shedding of His precious Blood as the Lamb of God, committing ultimately His Spirit into the Hands of Abba Father; leading to Resurrection Sunday, Mary Magdalene seeing Him first, alive as the Gardener! This is great good news for every week of the year, year after year!
In 1 Corinthians 15:20 the Holy Spirit writing through Paul says: " But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep." Jesus having died on the Passover, His Resurrection is a promise of our own resurrection.
There is disagreement about the date of Firstfruits this year, but in one sense, honoring it one day after Resurrection Sunday with a National Day of Repentance is very fitting. This year the 13th annual National Day of Repentance in the USA will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025, the same day, hours earlier, a National Day of Repentance will have been observed in all of Australia! The verses for His Gift of Repentance are bearing fruit!
2 Chronicles 7:14, Jonah 3:10; Joel 2:15; Hosea 6:1-3; Daniel 9:3-19; Nehemiah 1:6, Ezra 10:1, and others speak to the need for personal and national repentance before revival.
This year's Scripture is Jeremiah 4:1-3: " If you will return, O Israel, 'says the LORD, 'Return to Me; And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved. And you shall swear, the LORD lives.' In truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; THE NATIONS SHALL BLESS THEMSELVES IN HIM, AND IN HIM THEY SHALL GLORY. For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings."
Australia and the USA at the grassroots holding simultaneous National Days of Repentance! It's not about men; it's about Him! Nations blessing themselves in Him, and in Him they shall glory! May this be A FORM OF FIRSTFRUITS FOR HIS GIFT OF REPENTANCE, AWAKENING THE ENTIRE BODY OF CHRIST, THE MESSIANIC COMMUNITY, JEW AND GENTILE, NOW IN ALL NATIONS, TO HIS GIFT, REPENTANCE, TO FORGIVE SINS AND TO HEAL A NATION!
