The Man, the Myth, the Livermore Legend

by Ranger Gilbert Rodriguez

Joaquin Murrieta is said to have used Livermore's own Brushy Peak Regional Preserve as a hideout in the mid-to-late 1800s. Today, Murrieta's legacy and namesake are ever-present throughout Livermore and the Tri-Valley area. Have you ever wondered about the man whose infamy is such a large part of Livermore’s heritage? Ranger Gilbert recounts tales of Murrieta's adventures, myths, and mysteries that made him the Livermore legend he is today.

Guess Who?
