Annual Plant Sale on April 18 to Benefit Food Cupboard Garden | | |
Saturday, April 18, 9 a.m.-noon
Holly Springs Food Cupboard, 621 W Holly Springs Rd.
One way Cupboard volunteers help meet clients' needs for a balanced diet is by growing fresh produce in the Holly Springs Food Cupboard Garden. Each spring, garden volunteers host a plant sale. Proceeds fund the Cupboard garden, supplying seeds, soil, and equipment needed for an abundant harvest of fresh produce for those in need in our community.
Save the date for this year's Plant Sale: Saturday, April 18, 9 a.m.-noon at the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Suggested prices are $3-$8, cash or check preferred.
(Rain date: Sunday, April 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
| | Visit Nightingale in Downtown Holly Springs on Wednesday, April 1, 5-10 p.m. for a delicious way to give back to the community. 10% of the revenue generated will be donated to the Cupboard. Can't make it on April 1? Nightingale Rooftop will donate $1 for each drink-of-the-month purchased throughout the month of April. | | |
Saturday, April 11, 11:30 a.m. (Check-In Begins at 10 a.m.)
Downtown Holly Springs
Get ready for the most strenuous 0.5K of your life! The Holly Springs Rotary Club and Holly Springs Pest Control present the Couch Potato Crawl: a 1/3-mile trek where the only thing required is a sense of humor. You’ll "race" past live music, food trucks, and cheering fans on Main Street just far enough to earn bragging rights and a great story, but short enough that you’ll barely break a sweat.
While the distance is short, the heart behind it is huge. Every registration supports the Holly Springs Food Cupboard.
Costumes are highly encouraged (think superheroes, spuds, or actual couch potatoes!), with awards for the best looks and commemorative stickers for every legend who crosses the finish line.
Whether you shuffle, skip, or strut, come prove that you don’t need a marathon to make a massive difference in our community!

| | New for 2026: Online Sign Up for Volunteering in the Garden | | |
Since the garden is one of the busiest spots at the Holly Springs Food Cupboard, we are making an update to ensure everyone has a great experience and plenty of tasks to tackle.
Families & Individual Volunteers (Not Working as Part of an Organized Group)
- Starting this season, all garden volunteers are asked to use our new online signup form before heading out to the garden.
- This signup is for families and individuals not working as an organized group.
- By registering for a specific day and time slot on the monthly schedule, you help ensure that we have the right amount of work and supervision ready for every pair of hands. Whether you are a longtime green thumb or a first-time helper, please reserve your spot on an open work day.
Groups of 6 or more (businesses, schools, scouts, clubs, churches, etc. ) should reserve a special time and day by first contacting garden@hsfoodcupboard.org.
We can’t wait to see you in the garden!
| | Thanks to Our Garden Volunteers! | | |
Many thanks to everyone who volunteered in the Holly Springs Food Cupboard Garden last month! Our 2026 growing season is off to a strong start, thanks to your help. Thanks especially to:
- Cary Y-Guides and their dads (who also replaced the Cupboard's mailbox post)
- RTPCA youth group
- Willow Spring High School Key Club

| | Help by Donating Food or Funds | | The generosity of the Holly Springs community enables the Cupboard to keep the doors open and shelves stocked. Host a food drive at your school, religious organization, business or civic group. Monetary donations allow the Food Cupboard to purchase fresh items and supplement food drive donations. Even the smallest donations make a difference. Thank you for considering helping. | | | | |
