On January 30, program directors and deans of CAAHEP-accredited and CoAEMSP Letter of Review paramedic educational programs, as of 2023, were notified that their program’s Annual Report is due by May 15, 2025. The Annual Report is an important tool used to track the impact and effectiveness of our programs, and your program is an integral part of educating paramedics to serve the medical needs of our communities. Advance registration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. All webinars are complimentary and will be recorded.

You are encouraged to watch the pre-recorded webinar (22 minutes) and become familiar with the Annual Report before attending the Q&A webinar on February 12 or March 12.

Key Points

• Annual Reports are due May 15, 2025, by 11:59 PM Central Daylight Time. We welcome the submission of your Annual Report now and encourage completion and submission as soon as possible.

• If your program did not have graduates in 2023, the Annual Report is still required. Submission of this data is required to meet the recognition requirements of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), the accreditor of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), and to comply with U.S. Department of Education rules and regulations on outcomes reporting.

• The 2023 Annual Report template was attached to the email sent on January 30 to the program director and dean on record.

• Email the completed 2023 Annual Report to AnnualReports@coaemsp.org.

• Completed Annual Reports must be in the Excel format and template as provided and designated for 2023.

• Do not use a collaborative platform to complete the Annual Report, which may alter built-in formulas (ex., Google Sheets, fileshare).

• If you see a yellow box in any place in the report, there is an error that must be corrected.

• The 2023 Annual Report outcomes for retention, written exam, and positive placement must be posted on the paramedic program’s website and verifiable when the annual report is submitted.

Late submissions or failure to submit

Per policy, a $500 fee is assessed to a program that does not submit a completed 2023 Annual Report by May 15, 2025. Programs failing to submit the Annual Report by the due date will be recommended for Administrative Probation to CAAHEP. Failure to address Administrative Probation may lead to a recommendation for Withdrawal of Accreditation to CAAHEP.

Incentive to Submit Early

As an incentive to encourage early submission of the 2023 Annual Report, programs submitting their completed reports on or before March 1, 2025, will be entered into a drawing for one complimentary registration to attend ACCREDITCON, May 30-June 1, 2025, in Anaheim, Calif.
