January 25, 2019

Next Tuesday evening, Police Chief Oscar Ortiz will present the Police Department’s 2018 Annual Report to the City Council. The Report includes updates on crime statistics and highlights the Department’s accomplishments last year. Through our unique partnership with the Napa County Sheriff's Office, American Canyon remains a safe and secure community, in large part because of the efforts of these extraordinary men and women. The Department’s response rates and overall level of service are second to none, but they can’t do it all themselves. Our resident’s watchful engagement and reporting is a critical component of our collective safety, and I encourage all community members to attend this meeting to learn more about how you can help. These days, being a Police Officer is among the most challenging professions, and I am very proud of how our Police Department represents and responds to our community. Please join us Tuesday night for the Chief's presentation!

Slow Down
A group of Napa Junction Elementary School parents is volunteering as crossing guards at the intersection of Theresa Avenue and Napa Junction Road. This area is heavily traveled during commute times. If you drive this route from 7:50 - 8:10 AM, please slow down and be cautious. We are so grateful, for everyone in the community who takes efforts to get our children to school safely.
