Annual Survey of Coalitions Participation Workshop

National data sets can be an instrumental part of coalition work: they help provide a context for the issues confronting local coalitions and can work with state and local data to frame up the main issues in substance misuse. The Annual Survey of Coalitions is the only national survey that is compromised for local coalition data. It can work with other national data sets and helps demonstrate what drug-free coalitions can do. This survey is the leading resource for community-level substance use prevention in the country. The 2025 Annual Survey launched on Tuesday (January 21st) and will be open through May. Learn more about how you can get your link and support raising the profile of coalitions across the country. This webinar will be conducted this Thursday will be your chance to learn more about the Annual Survey of Coalitions and other national data sources for coalitions.

  2. Learn about the Annual Survey of Coalitions, how it aligns with CADCA training, and how it can be used in supporting coalition efforts.
  3. Learn how to participate in the Annual Survey and how your information will be used to help you do your work more effectively.

The 2025 Annual Survey of Coalitions is now open to ALL coalitions, emerging or well-established, and regardless of funding or memberships. This survey is the leading resource for community-level substance use prevention in the country.

Your participation helps inform CADCA support, demonstrate the value of local coalition efforts to national partners, and improve the overall awareness of locally lead efforts in preventing substance misuse.


Who should complete the survey?

Pick one person who is familiar with your coalition’s day-to-day activities to fill it out. It takes less than an hour, and you can save your progress and return to your dedicated link anytime. To make it even easier, some of your coalition’s information is prepopulated where possible.


How do I get started?

Request your dedicated survey link by completing a short form here. After submitting the short form, our research team will email you the link created just for your coalition. You can also reach out to survey@cadca.org to ask any questions about the Annual Survey. (Also, participants who complete the survey will be entered into a monthly raffle to win $50.)
