Clean Energy Education & Empowerment (C3E) Initiative
Awarding and Recognizing
Women in Clean Energy
For the first time in its eight-year history,
the Annual U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Women in Clean Energy Symposium and Awards will be held at
Texas A&M University
in
November 2019
With your support, this invitation-only event will bring together a diverse group of women who are working across the entire clean energy spectrum and taking on this challenge, fostering connections, innovation, creativity, and knowledge—sharing in a spirit of inclusivity and empowerment.
Women make up substantially less than half of the workforce in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields and are likewise underrepresented across the clean energy sector.

Closing the gender gap and increasing women’s participation and leadership in these fields are the goals of the U.S. C3E program.
Achieving a Clean Energy Future Together
The symposium will recognize eight outstanding women who are advancing and implementing clean and innovative energy solutions that are transforming our energy infrastructure and reducing emissions. At the event, we also recognize a Lifetime Achievement Award winner whose accomplishments serve as an inspiration.

Through the examples of C3E Ambassadors who are excelling in their clean energy careers, along with C3E Award Winners who are blazing new trails, the event will be a day of inspiration and excitement for women at all professional stages .
