" No one should be ashamed to admit he is wrong, which is but saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday."
Years ago, when I first started to work for Country Garden, I fell in love with purple loosestrife . I was on a road trip in Vermont and saw huge swaths of beautiful purple flowers along the roads. Little did I know that this pretty, plant was invasive, and chocking the very life out of many other species.

Silly girl that I was, I actually bought one (before it was a banned plant in all states- PLEASE do not plant this!) and placed it in my front garden. Luckily for me it never took hold... too dry and rocky, thank goodness! I soon learned of its demonic qualities and what it means to practice "Right plant-right place".

I have always felt that if I have to try super hard to make a plant "work", then that little sprout is not for me or my soil.

Today, I do a little research to see if the plant I am interested in, is right for my spot. I don't try to force it. I have no allowance for the time or the resources to do that.

We all need to be cognizant of what we introduce into the environment, including plants, sprays, fertilizers and more. It can have unintended consequences if we don't.

Luckily there are so many choices for all of our interests.

This weeks blog post has an array of great suggestions of plant, with photos, and why they work well on Cape Cod.

This is just a start, come and see us to learn more for your given situation.

Be well -♥ Nan
