Shelley Bullard received this call for help. I am passing it on.
I just received this note regarding the fire situation in the gorge from Margo Mossburg, and am passing it on.
Please contact Stephanie Rickety if you can help.
My sister Steph Rickert has been running her hands-on farm children's program near Corbett, Oregon and the Historic Highway on the way to Multnomah Falls since 1994. They have reached over 30,000 people to introduce them to farm life and Morgan Horses when less than 2% of the American population is left living on the family farm. Old McDonald's Farm, Inc. has 30 farm animals including Morgan Horses and they need help today. They need a place to take all the animals with the Cascade Locks fire being too close and the bad air quality and threat of wildfires with the ash raining down and possible burning embers to start more fires.
Can you send a help message out ASAP and have folks call
Stephanie Rickert directly at 503-799-0358 if you have some open stalls or pastures or small pens or a horse trailer or five horse trailers to come help please?
When you call her to help please tell Steph that you saw this notice and you will help a Morgan person in need.
They have closed I-84 and I am six hours away so Morgan friends can we help my family please? She needs help NOW before the fires get closer and they close more roads.
Steph is moving smaller animals but the vehicle to pull the horse trailer is not working so bless you for getting on this quickly this morning, Tuesday the 5th.
Thanks,
Margo Mossburg
