The Siemens SC-44 is Ready for Your N Scale Layout
Get ready to hit the rails with one of the latest passenger locomotives to operate in the United States! The SC-44 Charger leads a new line of Tier 4 compliant diesel-electric passenger locomotives produced by Siemens Mobility for the North American market. Designed to handle medium-distance regional trains with speed and efficiency, the type can be found on Amtrak® state-run services and commuter railroads from coast to coast. Developed in collaboration with Siemens Mobility, the Bachmann SC-44 uses original design documentation and prototype field recordings for maximum realism and top-of-the-line detail. The model includes a TCS WOWSound® decoder featuring Audio Assist® for easy configuration without programming CVs, and a Keep-Alive® device for uninterrupted operation, even over dirty track. The WOWSound® diesel-electric locomotive package includes a custom field-recorded horn, bell, prime mover, start-up/shutdown, compressor, cooling fan, coupler close/release, brake release/application, crew alert, grade crossing quill, departing and arriving station announcements, and more.
