Seminars are a unique feature of the Amelia. Legendary race drivers (L-R) Jacky Ickx, David Hobbs, and Brian Redman, among others share stories about the wild days and nights of endurance racing in the Porsche 962. There are more than a few laughs in this story and the one with NASCAR and IMSA racing teams revealing secrets of Racing Around the Rules.
“Cars of the Rock Stars” is an example of the unique and original classes at The Amelia. This car is a 1928 Bentley race car owned by AC/DC lead man, Brian Johnson. Angus Young played a Gibson SG guitar on the hit song “Thunderstruck.” Other guitar and car pairings celebrated John Oates, Ricky Nelson, Janis Joplin, and Elvis.
