OLLI at SOU NEWSFLASH
October 12, 2020
Another Conversation Connection opens,
plus spaces still available for next week

  • Topic: The Power of One
  • Description: The Power of One, by Bryce Courtney, follows the development of a young South African boy into adulthood.  He learns through unique experiences with people and from surprising mentors how to have “the courage to remain separate and to think through to the truth… to have an independent spirit” (his power).  It made me wonder “What’s my power?"  WHAT’S YOUR POWER?  How has your power impacted your life or the lives of others?

If you have a topic you'd like to talk over with other OLLI members, you may want to consider holding your own Conversation Connection. Contact Rob Joseph, Social Team Lead, at [email protected] for facilitator guidelines and more information. You don't have to be an expert or an instructor to facilitate a Conversation Connection. They are are one-time meetings on a specific topic of discussion held on Zoom, and are designed to encourage OLLI members to meet other members in a small group setting.
Member-to-Member Remote Tech Support
Member-to-member tech support is again available thanks to OLLI volunteers. We know many members are learning to connect remotely to take OLLI courses or to meet up with friends and family online while we stay safe and save lives at home. Some of OLLI’s tech savvy members have volunteered to provide some tech support to help members get connected. If you would like help with getting up to speed online, click here to submit a request for tech support. and we will connect you with a Tech Support volunteer.

Please note: While volunteers will offer support to the best of their ability remotely, we cannot guarantee that every issue will be solved successfully. Please keep in mind that this process can require time and patience, too.
