The Newcastle Planning Commission will host a Comprehensive Plan Open House from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, in the Commons at Risdon Middle School. Stormwater Pond Restoration Update

Two Newcastle maintenance staff members restore a stormwater pond.

This week, as part of the Stormwater Pond Restoration Program (S-037), City crews removed vegetation and excavated soil at Pond 8, which is at Coal Creek Parkway SE opposite SE 84th Way. This work is necessary to maintain the originally designed pond-storage volume and to ensure the pond functions as intended to mitigate surface runoff during rain events.
