More Mayoral Support for Campaign, Red Bluff Mayor Endorses Coolidge
Former Chico Mayor Andrew Coolidge today announced he has secured the endorsement of Red Bluff Mayor Kris Deiters in his 2026 campaign for Assembly District 3.
In her endorsement of Coolidge, Dieters stated, "As Mayor, I know firsthand how important it is to have leaders in Sacramento who understand the struggles of local government and the challenges our cities are facing—public safety, housing, infrastructure, and economic growth. Andrew Coolidge has that deep understanding, and I trust him to fight for the needs of our area. I am proud to endorse him for State Assembly."
With Deiters’ endorsement, Coolidge has now secured the endorsement of a majority of AD 3 Mayors, having previously announced support from the Mayors of Biggs, Willows, Corning, Orland, Gridley, Oroville, and Paradise, in addition to numerous other elected officials from across the district.
Coolidge is the former Mayor of Chico (four years), a former councilmember (four years), and served the community in a wide range of leadership roles prior to taking a seat on the Chico City Council. He has also run a successful business in the district for the last 32 years and is a lifelong resident of the district.
Coolidge is running for the Assembly District 3 seat currently held by Assemblyman James Gallagher, who is not running for in due to term limits. The primary election will be held on June 2nd, 2026.
