MT. PLEASANT, TX -
Priefert Manufacturing has accomplished another impressive feat to ensure its continued growth and prosperity. As a critical part of expanding the company's operations with efficiency and creativity, Priefert has initiated and coordinated an Overhead Delivery System spanning the Union Pacific Railroad line that runs through Priefert Manufacturing's property. After years of detailed planning, negotiations with various agencies and entities, and synchronized efforts of multiple companies, on July 1, 2017, the primary structure was lifted from ground level to settle on precisely engineered supports above the rail line.
In the future, this structure will provide the bridge for a specially-designed conveyor system that will transport materials and finished goods from manufacturing facilities east of the railroad tracks to shipping docks and other points west of the track. Long-term benefits include increased safety, reduced handling, and greater efficiency for shipping and future production.
There are numerous employees and divisions that have been involved in this project in which we would like to recognize, including, but not limited to:
Bill Priefert and the Priefert Family for their commitment to success.
VP of Production, Rocky Christenberry
The Priefert "Dream Team" - Mike Roberts and Dane Easley
Glen Calvert, Benton Burrow and the team at Priefert Complex Designs
Nucor Steel Buildings
Nerramore Construction
The team at Joyce Crane
Union Pacific Railroad's Andrew Hudanish
