The operations of the Saint Lucia National Trust (SLNT) continue to be adversely

affected as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The usually bustling Pigeon Island

National Landmark, our main income generating site, continues to register few visitors

due to COVID-19 restrictions and the virus still being very prevalent in Saint Lucia’s

major source markets. This decrease in revenue has had a debilitating effect on our

ability to maintain our important historic sites, protect our picturesque landscapes with

their unique species of flora and fauna and our youth engagement programme.

The SLNT through its affiliation with the International National Trusts Organization (INTO) recently launched a GlobalGiving (GG) Campaign. Contributions to this campaign will solely be used to further the conservation work of the organization. These include maintenance of built sites like the Morne Fortune Historic Area and Walcott House, protecting the natural habitat of our endemic wildlife species like the Saint Lucia Racer and the Saint Lucia Whiptail and our various ongoing advocacy work.

The SLNT is appealing to you contribute at least one dollar towards our GG Campaign, if more can be given then we certainly encourage it. A wonderfully refreshing wheat beer brewed with a balanced proportion of Passionfruit. A favorite amongst locals and visitors alike this award-winning golden ale is lightly hopped, incredibly refreshing and totally tropical. This beer is brewed as a celebration of sun, sand and sea. We call it “beach craft”.

A traditional dry hopped UK style India Pale Ale infused with a 2/3 proportion of fresh sour orange and 1/3 proportion of local rough lemon. This beer is incredibly complex and is arguably the most unique artisanal beer in the Caribbean.

A traditional India Pale Ale. A style originally brewed before refrigeration and pasteurization using large amounts of hops (a natural preservative) which could be shipped in the holds of ships to British Army garrisons around the Empire. It is a very complex beer, balancing malt, alcohol and citric hops wonderfully. It is named after Admiral Rodney's flagship the HMS Formidable, which sailed from St. Lucia to defeat the French Armada at the battle of The Saints.
