Anse Chastanet is one of the Caribbean’s best dive resorts according to readers of Scuba Diving Magazine. In the 2022 Reader’s Choice Awards the resort netted 5 awards. The Soufrière-based property received #1 Best Quality Resort in the Caribbean and #1 Best Quality Restaurant in the Caribbean. Readers of the magazine rated their top picks for scuba diving destinations, operators, resorts, and live-aboards from around the world.

Anse Chastanet was also voted one of the best resorts in the Caribbean for quality of rooms, quality of staff and best overall resort.

Saint Lucia Celebrates Reopening of Canadian Market
To commemorate the reopening of the Canadian market, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), along with tourism stakeholders were on hand at Hewanorra International Airport to welcome Air Canada Rouge flight (1878) on Sunday, October 3rd.The return of Air Canada signals the reopening of Saint Lucia’s fourth largest international source market.

Air Canada discontinued its winter service to Saint Lucia in January 2021 during the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The first flight to Saint Lucia returns after nine months, following the Canadian Governments cancellation of all flights to Mexico and the Caribbean in February 2021.
SLHTA forges new partnerships to protect and preserve Saint Lucia’s natural resources and eco-systems

As the SLHTA continues to celebrate the theme for World Tourism Day 2021 “Tourism for Inclusive Growth” the organization acknowledges new partnerships with key experts which will foster sustainable tourism practices within the industry and benefit communities island wide.
