Clinton County program seeking homeowners for no-cost safety modifications and repairs
Since 2023, the Clinton County Older Adults Home Modification Program has helped many older adults in the county improve the safety of their homes to help them age in place. The program ends in July of 2026, but there is still funding available! We encourage county residents to learn more about the program and consider applying as soon as possible.

Adult day care center opens at Wilmington senior center
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Nov. 12 at the Aging Up Community Center in Wilmington, marking the opening of a new adult day care facility at the center. The adult day care center is a partnership between Clinton County Community Action Program, which operates the Aging Up Community Center, and Extended Family Home Health.
Adult day care is an important service, especially for family caregivers who can’t be with their loved one during the day due to work and other responsibilities. Adult day care offers a safe, secure and stimulating environment for older adults, providing meals and activities, as well as transportation. The county had been without an adult day care provider since 2020. To read more, click here.

Laundry delivery service now available for Clinton County ESP clients
There’s a new option available for Clinton County ESP clients who need help with a common need – laundry. Council on Aging (COA) recently began partnering with Anytime Laundry to provide laundry delivery service for eligible clients. Click here to learn more.

COA is participating again this year in Home Instead’s Be a Santa to a Senior project. We are collecting, wrapping and delivering holiday gifts to residents at two apartment communities in our area. COA staff honored by Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging
COA staff members were recognized by Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (o4a) with a joint AAA Staff Person of the Year award. This year, instead of a single individual, the award recognized multiple leaders and their exceptional contributions to Ohio's Aging Network. COA staff represented four of the 11 honorees.

COA shares food resources on its website
During uncertain times, some people may experience new or short-term needs. As the region’s Area Agency on Aging, Council on Aging works to connect people to programs, services and resources that can help meet their needs and improve quality of life.
In response to concerns around availability of SNAP benefits, COA has compiled resources on its website to help people connect to alternative resources, including food pantries and congregate meals.
