Anti-Counterfeiting should be strategy for economic well-being of India: ASPA

The industry association of authentication & traceability solutions providers in India had recommended Anti-Counterfeiting Strategy for economic well-being in country. In Financial year 2019-20, the Government of India is expected to witnessed a shortfall of Rs. 2 Trillion. At the same time counterfeiting, smuggling & illicit activities are resulting in loss of more than Rs. 1 Trillion loss of sale to industries & economy every year adding to the difficulty for businesses. According to reports, the estimated tax loss to the exchequer from counterfeiting products is approximately Rs 39,239 crores.
Considering these circumstances, plugging counterfeiting can help Government increase Tax Revenues, safeguard businesses & prevent social security frauds. Till now a few steps have been taken towards anti-counterfeiting, but no government has adopted it as a strategy for economic well-being of the country. space market will greatly simplify the complex regulatory and supply-chain landscape in the industry.

Russia plan's to make every good traceable

Tanzania Revenue Authority records 34% increased revenues on Liquor
|
TANZANIA Revenue Authority (TRA) has recorded an increase of 34 per cent in excise duty on local and imported spirits and wines between February and October, this year, thanks to the rolling out of the two phases of Electronic Tax Stamp (ETS) management system. According to TRA's Deputy Commissioner General, Mr Msafiri Mbibo, the authority collected 77.8bn/- during the period under review compared to 58.2bn/-which was recorded during the same period last year, translating to an increase of 19.6 per cent.
