Part 1: Immunization and Screening
Immunization is a common source of antibodies, generally through the injection of a specified antigen into an animal. This antigen is a recombinant protein to trigger the immune system to produce antigen-specific antibodies, which can be collected in blood or serum samples. Afterwards, antibodies can be purified by evaluating binding by target proteins.
When it comes to antibodies, proteins play a more significant role than you think – both triggering antibody production (immunization) and binding to desired antibodies (biopanning). Having high-quality, structurally accurate proteins can significantly alter your results.
Our target protein products, including cytokine targets, multi-pass transmembrane proteins, CD3 proteins are designed for use by ensuring quality and structure.
