Edward “JR” Trevino
Class of 2005
JR is a 2005 graduate of Antonian. While at Antonian he enjoyed his time as a student athlete on the football and soccer teams.
JR’s most memorable moment at Antonian was field day Senior year stating, “we all knew that this would be one of the last times we would get a chance to be together.”
JR graduated in 2008 from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business earning a Bachelors of Business Administration with a double major in Marketing and Management. Following graduation, he returned to San Antonio to pursue a career in commercial construction as Treco Enterprises’ Vice President of Business Development.
JR is a proud graduate of numerous leadership programs including the Alexander Briseno Leadership Development Program, Leadership San Antonio, and he was recently selected to serve in the Texas Lyceum, a statewide leadership program.
He serves as a board member for the Classical Music Institute, Family Violence Prevention Services, the Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center, and as the board Secretary for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is also an active member of the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation which raises scholarship dollars for high school seniors and college students. In 2019 he was chosen as one of the “40 Under 40 Movers and Shakers in San Antonio” by the San Antonio Business Journal. In addition to his busy job and support of local organizations, he was elected as an Alderman to Castle Hills City Council in 2016 and continues his service as the Castle Hills Mayor.
JR recently joined the Antonian Capital Campaign Leadership Committee as its Alumni Chair. JR said the reason he joined the Committee is because it is important to him to give back to his alma mater and community. He stated “strong public and private schools are the key to a community’s success. It is imperative that Antonian has the ability to continue to invest, so that we can continue to help mold and enrich the future leaders of our City, State, and Country.”
JR’s better half is Dr. Norma Reyes, a pediatric dentist who owns and operates her own dental practice. Norma also enjoys serving; she has participated in countless medical/dental outreach clinics as well as cleft palate treatment missions within the United States and abroad.
