About The Anulet P. Jackson Memorial Scholarship
The Anulet P. Jackson Memorial Scholarship awards deserving students who demonstrate a commitment to honoring the legacy of Anulet “Pat” Jackson, who spent over 30 years of her life devoted to building the cooperative movement as a staff member of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund.
Honoring a Legacy: The Pat Jackson Scholarship Fund
Touched by the work of her friend Pat Jackson and the mission of the Federation, Kay Doherty of Sharing, Inc. established a special scholarship fund with proceeds from Sharing, Inc.’s annual Good Friday Walk. For many years, Sharing, Inc. demonstrated its deep commitment to Pat, the Federation, and rural youth by contributing funding in support of young leaders in the South.
While Sharing, Inc. has officially closed its doors, the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund has continued this important scholarship since 2025. We are proud to carry this torch forward to ensure Pat’s legacy and Kay’s generous spirit continue to impact the next generation.
The Federation plans to award up to seven (7) scholarships of up to $1,000 each, with the goal of selecting one recipient from each of the seven states where we have active staff and programming: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas.
We are committed to uplifting the communities we serve and to keeping the memory of our dear Pat Jackson alive through opportunity, education, and support for rural youth.
