Dear Reader,
“Anyone Can Do The Easy Stuff.”

1. You’ve decided what it is you want to do?
2. So, get started. No procrastination. No fear. No delays. No reasons or excuses.
3. And give yourself a schedule with a task and time line.
4. You’ve decided the “what.” Next is the “how” and “when.”
5. Business plans totally unnecessary, thank you.
6. Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Walt Disney, Henry Ford,
Mary Kay Ash - just to name a few - HAD NO BUSINESS PLAN!
7. You have a resource mix.
8. Time, Money, Ability, Contacts, Energy, Attitude, Integrity.
9. Which of these can you really do without?
10. Trick question. (T)(M)(Ab)(C)(E)(At)(I) = Desired results. No zeros allowed. Zeros are horrible multipliers.
11. Bring in additional input should you encounter doubts or delays.
12. A mentor will move you forward faster with what’s to be done, knowledgeable
on how to do it and motivated to get it accomplished.
13. 93% of the world’s richest people have a mentor.
14. Why do you suppose that is?

FEATURED EVENT
ON THIS DAY APRIL 14TH
1912
Steaming through the icy waters of the North Atlantic, the state-of-the-art luxury British ocean liner RMS Titanic strikes an iceberg just before midnight. The damage proves catastrophic, and the vessel will sink in the early hours of April 15, killing over 1,500.
1947
Mendez v. Westminster, a federal court case challenging Southern California's forced segregation of Mexican-American children into separate Spanish-speaking schools, is ruled unconstitutional and unlawful. This ruling sets an important legal precedent for later cases, including Brown v. Board of Education.
1952
Equal parts poetic and scathing, 'Invisible Man' explores an unnamed Black man's search for identity in a society largely hostile to the presence of African Americans or unaware of the Black experience. The only novel Ellison will publish in his lifetime, 'Invisible Man' will win the National Book Award.
2018
Queen Bey acknowledges creating a musical milestone, saying 'Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first Black woman to headline.' Her two-hour set, which includes a marching band, a Destiny's Child reunion, a duet with husband Jay-Z, and a dance off with her sister Solange, delights both fans and music critics.

TIPS OF THE DAY
"Houston's greatest energy resource is its entrepreneurial energy."
C. Dean Kring
"Recognized as an industry leader and pioneer in small business incubation" by the National Business Incubation Association and as "One of Houston's core entrepreneurial groups" by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and "Ranked the #1 new business development group in Houston" by Houston Proud!

We are a not-for-profit cooperative association of independent
business owners for market expansion, business development,
entrepreneurial education and professional growth.

We were created from a specific and priority research project of the Houston Chamber of Commerce in the late 1970's on the importance of start-up and emerging small businesses. We brought you Houston's first small business incubator, which became Texas' oldest, the first co-working space in Texas, the first Womens Business Center in the United States and the first Residency Incubator and first Virtual Accelerator Program in the World. Our clients have ranged from pre-start-ups to the largest companies in the United States! We clearly demonstrated that entrepreneurship could be taught, that business plans were not a requirement for a successful business, that women were starting businesses at a faster rate than men and that entrepreneurship was color-blind and gender neutral. Our start-ups have won virtually every award in Houston for business growth, some nationally, some even internationally and some of our established client companies are now household names in Houston. We operate entirely without grants, gifts, donations or public funding. We don't have our hand out and are NOT your tax dollars at work! We are totally self-sufficient!

We grow companies, build careers and advance ideas!
May we assist with yours?
