English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
|
|
Dear Parents,
If your child is currently listed as Limited English Proficiency and requires annual language testing this information can be helpful. The State of California has changed the test to better align with the state standards This test replaces the annual CELDT test that students took at the district office usually during the summer. The new ELPAC test will be given at the school site February 20, 21 and 27. Parents will no longer need to make an appointment with Language Assessment Center the classroom teacher will schedule the children during the school day for testing. Here is a link to practice tests.

| Torrance Unified School District |
Parents and Guardians of Anza Elementary,
We are happy to announce the launch of our new student information system, PowerSchool.
PowerSchool will be replacing Parent Connect this fall of 2017. In order to access the new portal you will need to create a new account. This can be done by visiting https://torrance.powerschool.com and selecting the Create Account tab. It is very important that you submit an accurate email address. We recommend the Google Chrome or Firefox browser to access the portal.
You will need your student's Access ID and Password to link your child to your account. If you have multiple children in the district, you will receive a separate letter for each child, which you can link to your newly created account.
Example of Student Access ID and Password
[NAME OF CHILD] Access ID is XXXXXXXXX
[NAME OF CHILD] Access Password is #####
Please keep your passwords confidential so that only you can access the information.
Once you have your account created and child(ren) linked, we ask that you click on the Registration link to update your information and review district agreements.
Sincerely,
Torrance Unified School District

Anza is striving to go paperless! With this effort we will not be distributing after school program flyers on a regular basis. If you would be interested in a class, please click below to find out what programs are available or check in the office to see if there might be a hard copy for you. Please note, these partners have no affiliations to Anza Elementary and our school does not profit from these programs. This link will remain on the Communicator for your convenience and will typically be found at the bottom of the email.
Thanks!
