Dear Members,

We have worked so long and so hard to stay home and follow protocols to stay safe and keep this virus at bay; let's not blow it now! Please continue to be careful, wear masks, wash your hands frequently and keep your circle small.

With the hopes of the vaccines being close to 100% effective, it feels like there is a light at the end of the long, dark tunnel. But despite the feelings of hopefulness, we still have the rest of the winter ahead of us and our struggles may not be over.

From accessing food and groceries to medications, to getting to doctor appointments and an overall feeling of boredom and loneliness; we are here for you! I can't promise that we can solve all your problems but you don't have to struggle alone.

We have a wonderful staff of exceptionally talented, kind and supportive individuals who have an abundance of resources at their fingertips. We have virtual programs to keep you connected with us as well as with other center members and are always available by telephone.

The January calendar will be out next week but for now, click here for December's and here to access joining. Please join our FACEBOOK
page, which is limited to senior center members. If you have never sent in an application to be a member you can certainly do that now without leaving your home. Simply print one or call us and we will mail an application to you. Please include proof of age and residency.

Take good care,

Intergenerationally Speaking

Have you ever thought of the phrase "generous of spirit" and what it means to you? For me it means going beyond monetary donations to worthy causes to giving of my time as well.

´╗┐Do you want to try donating your time to a younger generation without ever leaving your seat?

We have a special opportunity to be part of an intergenerational program with a Brunswick Acres 4th grade class. If you click on the "Dear Readers" link above you will delve into marvelous prose that will astound you. Please feel free to read and send a little note to the teacher, Ms. Lizzie Williams so she can tell her students how much you loved the stories and why.
