VOTER REGISTRATIONS AND ELECTIONS

Vote in advance for the Special Election

Registered voters can cast their ballots early for the November 4 Special Election. Vote advance in person every day, including Saturday and Sunday, from October 14 to October 31 at the Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections Office in Lawrenceville and 11 advance voting locations throughout the county.


If you prefer to vote by mail, request an absentee ballot until Friday, October 24. Visit GwinnettElections.com for more information.

Vote por adelantado en la Elección Especial

Los votantes inscritos pueden emitir su voto por adelantado para la Elección Especial del 4 de noviembre. TAX COMMISSIONER

Property tax bills due November 15

The 2025 Gwinnett County property tax bills, mailed in September, are due on November 15. If you have an escrow account, your property information is made available to your mortgage company. However, it is your responsibility to ensure taxes are paid. Property tax bills for the city of Grayson will be mailed in November.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Share your input on the Jimmy Carter Boulevard Small Area Plan!

Join us at the Community Field Day for an event full of games, local food, and education right in the heart of the plan's study area — on the lawn of The Nett Church. On Saturday, October 4 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, learn more about the process to develop the Jimmy Carter Boulevard Small Area Plan while engaging in game-changing conversations and interactive activities to help shape the neighborhood's future.


Then, come out to share your thoughts about how to create a more walkable, safe, and connected community along Jimmy Carter Boulevard on Wednesday, October 29! From 6:00pm to 7:30pm, we're [resenting preliminary ideas for redevelopment, infrastructure improvements, and enhanced placemaking for the study area. Your voice matters — drop by the Open House at The Nett Church to share your feedback on the future of this corridor.

GWINNETT CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL

Recycle your items at America Recycles Day

Have some hard-to-recycle items? Rain or shine, you can bring them to America Recycles Day on Saturday, November 8 from 9:00am to noon at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville. Volunteers will remove items placed in disposable containers from the trunk or back seat of your vehicle. Recycling electronics is free except for projection/console TVs ($35), computer monitors ($15), and printers ($5). For a full list of acceptable items, visit GwinnettCB.org or call 770.822.7141. The annual Gwinnett Great Days of Service volunteer weekend returns October 17 through October 19, bringing together thousands of individuals, corporations, schools, civic organizations, and communities to lend a hand with critical needs around the county. Find free groceries for families in need

Struggling with food insecurity? Volunteer Gwinnett, in partnership with Atlanta Community Food Bank, is helping those in need through free drive-thru food distributions. The food is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The next distributions will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville and Tuesday, October 28 at Best Friend Park in Norcross. Receive aid through Gwinnett Veteran and Family Services

Are you a veteran or family of a veteran seeking assistance? Veteran and Family Services navigators are available to help you complete Veterans Administration forms, file Veterans Administration benefits and claims, or connect you to valuable resources in Gwinnett and across the region. County offices closed for November and December holidays

All Gwinnett County Government offices, apart from operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, November 11 for the Veterans Day holiday
  • Thursday, November 27 to Friday, November 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday
  • Wednesday, December 24 to Thursday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday


Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday weeks. For more information, visit GCSolidWaste.com. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.
