PIC OF THE WEEK!

HAIL, HAIL THE GANG'S ALL HERE!

HAPPY TO BE A FULL HOUSE!

BLESSINGS UPON BLESSINGS!

Four halves followed by four FULLS!

The full days this week were quite literally filled to the brim!

Tuesday morning tears accompanied a small number of our preschool students (and their parents!), as they transitioned to our school (and for some for the very first time!) Acclimating to a new school year and a new environment is difficult, and our preschoolers have been GREAT!

Thursday was a particularly packed one, as parents of our Grades 1-8 students were welcomed into the school building for the first time in quite a while! The beautiful evening weather was a perfect outdoor platform for celebrating summer accomplishments and looking forward to the adventure of a new academic year.

Today was a GREAT day! Our kindergarten through 8th grade students attended Holy Mass together and were incredibly reverent, respectful, and prayerful. We were all so proud of them. Then this afternoon's festivities included our Back to School Assembly at which we took care of some business, launched the theme for the school year, introduced the theme song of the year, sorted our 6th graders and new middle school students into their FAM Houses for the year, and had a dance party!

We also initiated a new tradition this year, as Father Ryan blessed the students' backpacks that will accompany them throughout their school year!

Have a nice weekend.

Picture Day is this

Tuesday, September 13th!

Please make sure that our students (your children) are looking great and feelin' fine that day in their full uniform (special occasion for our middle schoolers). These pictures are for our yearbook, as well as for your families!

Announced to all of the classes this past week, was an opportunity to represent our school this coming weekend by wearing uniforms to whichever Mass/Church that our students attend. Wearing our school uniforms is a great way to honor and respect lives lost on 9/11, while at the same time celebrate Catholic education. This Sunday marks the 21st anniversary of 9/11, and in addition, all of the churches in the diocese are taking up a second collection for FACE (The Foundation to Advance Catholic Education). The foundation helps to provide scholarships to families who need assistance in financing a Catholic

education. Students who wear their uniforms to Mass this weekend, and snap a pic of themselves doing so will be allowed to wear Red, White and Blue on Monday, September 12th in honor of Patriot's Day

We honor and remember.....

MAP Growth Testing will begin this coming week, beginning on Wednesday for Grades K-2. Please make certain students are present, well fed, and ready to do their best!

Auditions this Monday & Tuesday After School!

We had a great deal of interest in our new after school Drama Club offering! Forty two Grades 3-5 students are planning to attend auditions this coming week and we look forward to seeing the talent that exists at SFX!

SCHOOL EVENTS COMMITTEE

Bright yellow flyers were sent home in Orange Folders today, requesting that parents consider how they might be able to help our school this year in at least ONE way!  Please disregard the request to drop completed form in a box, but rather simply send back to the school in your child's folder.  Thank you in advance for your support in our mission!

Bringing back a much loved tradition!

Please save the date for a great time with grandparents! Students in Grades K through 2 are inviting their grandparents to join us for some good old fashioned fun at St. Francis! On Monday, September 19th, from 10:00am -11:30am, grandparents can join us for coffee, donuts, bingo and a photo opp! Grandchildren in older grades will be invited for the picture taking!

Grandparents are certainly welcome to join us at the 9am Mass at the church that day, prior to attending this event!

Reservation request will be sent early next week!

The first SEC meeting of the 2022-2023 school year is this coming Monday, September 12th at 7pm in the Library! Please join us if you are able!
